Clinical Seating and Pressure Assessment Protocols

Ask professionals what Seating and Pressure Assessment protocol they follow, and you will get a lot of different answers.

A lot of people have been asking us 'What is the protocol I should follow for pressure mapping?'.

A look at different assessment protocols from around the world reveals a wide set of approaches, varying in intensity, most, if not all, requiring a lot of time.

Vista will attempt to present as many protocols as possible on the Pressure Mapping Wiki, where users may add and edit their own protocol versions.

FSA Protocol

FSA  and Vista have developed a Pressure Mapping Clinical Assessment Protocol in conjunction with leading seating experts.  Consultation with an extensive group of clinical practitioners has revealed that time is a major concern.  Assessments need to be effective without taking a lot of time.

To facilitate effective, speedy assessment FSA has designed a step-by-step protocol and built it into a 'Wizard'  in the FSA4 software that guides you through the process. From Client Information through to printed report, the FSA Clinical Protocol facilitates your assessment.
